How do you do it?

This is a loaded question.  I assume you are asking  how we move all the time, and then move to crazy places like Egypt.  How do you do it?  How do you live in the same place for years and years and not get bored?  I am always ready to move after two years.  I’m excited to see new places and meet new people and do new things.

Ok — I kinda get it.  I grew up and lived in the same house till I was 20.  Roots are good.  I guess I can live this lifestyle cause I have those roots.  Roots offer security.  I get it.

But — I think what makes this all bearable is the people.  You see, it’s its own community.  Imagine your happy, family oriented neighborhood with all your best friends …. now, break it into 5 chunks and place it randomly around the US.  Now, you can move between those five places and always have a sense that you are “home”.  Now, do you get it? Obviously, it’s much more than 5 places and it’s much bigger than a neighborhood, but you get what I’m saying.  Right.

I have friends everywhere .. I already have new friends here.  You can’t waste time — time is short.  Either you get along or you don’t.  I can smell crazy … Crazy isn’t always bad .. but I know which kind to avoid.  Ha.

I wouldn’t have been able to make it here without my Fab Sponsor, Heather.  She rocks!  Talk about going above and beyond!  What she has done for us would take a whole other blog post, but you see what I’m getting at here …… This community … this neighborhood of people who move around all the time and seem to have an unstable life (I love when people ask how I think this will affect my kids), we are just like any other neighborhood.  If our neighbors need help … we help them.  We offer meals and share toys and we hang out at the community pool.

I love it.  The nomadic life is not for all, but it’s definitely for me.  🙂
